I’m SO very excited to introduce you to the BRAND NEW studyguide for GROW in His Word!! (Are you new to GROW in His Word? You can learn more about it HERE).
Recently, I have really felt the Lord stressing to me about consistency. Being in His Word and encouraging others to be reading His Word, consistently, every day. Psalm 1: 1-3 is one of my favorite passages of scripture. I love the visual it creates for us:
Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.
I was becoming overwhelmed with creating each studyguide in between our study sessions. I truly disliked having so much down time in between each session, but was unable to keep up with producing custom designed graphics and studyguides. Thankfully God is a patient, loving Father. He spoke softly to my heart and reminded me that He’s less concerned about how “pretty” all the graphics look and more concerned with encouraging women to be reading His Word daily.
That’s when I decided to design a studyguide we could use at all times, no matter the topic.
I wanted to go “all out” and truly use my artistic gifts and talents that God has blessed me with for His glory, without allowing them to cloud the ultimate goal of GROWing in His word. I decided to design a studyguide packet from scratch with all the bells and whistles that we could use over and over again so that once it was designed my focus could be on encouraging and praying for the ladies in our online Bible Study group.
So the process of designing “My Bible In A Year Journal” began. It’s been a labor of love…….
It started with the sketches….
Then the sketches were “inked in” and scanned into the computer to create vector graphics that were then digitally colored.
I offer this for FREE in hopes that it will truly bless you in your walk with the Lord.
It brings me such joy in knowing that even as a busy, homeschooling mom of 5, God sees me, and knows the desires of my heart. He has a purpose for me. He has provided a way for me to use my gifts in ministry as well as teach (something I love!) not only my children at home, but also through our GROW studies. So it is with joy and a grateful heart that I offer this to you for God’s glory.
So what all is included in this studyguide? Well…. a little bit of everything.
I have always wanted to read the Bible throughout a year’s time and be able to discuss what I’ve read with others. So I included a reading plan that will take us throughout the entire Bible in one year. The beauty of this reading plan is that anyone can join us at any time and begin reading at whatever day we are at.
Of course there are journal pages and a prayer request page. I created a few different designs for you to choose from to decide which one you would like to print and use. For those who don’t have a color printer or would like to save on ink costs, I also included black and white versions with limited graphics.
I love to worship the Lord through being creative and artistic. I included a few coloring pages for you to meditate on scripture while worshiping God through artwork.
Next I decided to include Memory Verse Cards. If you want to print these and write the verse you will be working on memorizing for that week, then you can carry them with you or stick them in your Bible. You could even print them on cardstock or laminate them. The Key Verse Cards are the same as the Memory Verse Cards, but Key Verse Cards are meant for daily use. For those who would like a daily verse to focus on from their reading, you can write one verse from your reading on a card and meditate on it (maybe not necessarily memorize it, but it can be your focus verse).
I don’t know about you, but I love having many good bookmarks. I do a lot of reading and love to have beautiful bookmarks to save my spot. I thought it would be fun to include a few bookmarks with scripture on them. I included a set without color that you can color yourself and I included one already colored in. Take your pick!
Last but not least, I thought having a blank calendar would be nice for those who would like to jot down other things that are important to them as they journey throughout the Bible.
So what are you waiting for? Come join us! We will be starting Day 1 of the Bible In A Year reading plan on Monday, July 25th. As I stated above though, you can join us at ANY TIME. If you are seeing this after the 25h, you’re not too late! Come join us anyway.
Have you used this studyguide in your personal quiet time? Have you used it in your small group Bible study at church? I would LOVE to hear how God has blessed you through these studies. Please feel free to comment below.
